I'm stuck in a corner of the world that is recovering from many years of civil war (Liberia), and yet it is truly amazing to find a few restaurants where the service is simply excellent, the staff friendly and willing, and a chef who will accede to simple requests.

I can't go out and purchase a rump steak at the local butchery, coz' there isn't one, so being able to luxuriate in the service provided by the restaurants in Monrovia is truly out of this world.

I raise my glass in salute to your mission, and may I add more power to your elbow!.

I am pretty sure you guys have some awesome stuff available to you on your doorstep. We watch Masterchef Australia and there seems to be an even bigger foodie/wino thing going in Australia than we have here in Cape Town.

As two foodies ourselves...we really enjoy your blog. Just unfortunate that we are stuck in Australia far, far away from all the gorgeous things the Cape can offer the palate. Will be in the cape for 3 days in December...will have to get some babysitters and make a dash for some fine dining!!

Thanks for the great blog Batonage. I'm always looking for great restaurants to go to in Cape Town and some of your recommendations have been spot on! Pay Vaudeville a visit and write back!
